Description

This shirt is made from handspun organic Kala cotton yarns and handwoven and hand-dyed with natural indigo. The fabric is responsibly crafted by the local people and is exactly what you need for your conscious wardrobe capsule. It is made whole with corozo buttons that elevate its eco-friendly gesture. When you buy this shirt, you are helping the artisans and weavers who work out their skills to make this piece and earn a livelihood.

Kala Cotton is the genetically purest form of cotton and the most eco-friendly crop ever. This indigenous species of cotton is grown in the Kutch region of Gujarat in India and is known for its purely rain fed and organic properties.

The fabric was woven by Khamir crafts using only natural dyes and brought this shirt to life with the art of handweaving. The Gujarat-based organisation sustains the artisanal significance of Kachchh, supporting the community of artisans and their skills.
